Dear Katie, my hair is really dry. I was wondering if you have any special hair treatment suggestions. You always have such neat ideas. Thanks Christa
Dear Christa, I think you’ll like this!!
What You need:
A bowl
1 Avocado
2 Cups mayonnaise
Tbsp of lemon juice
Potato Masher ( or fork)
Plastic wrap or a shower cap
A warm towel (put it in the dryer to warm it up). If it cools down put it back in the dryer ( you need to keep the towel warm)
Combine all of the ingredients in the bowl and mash with a potato masher or fork, stir until creamy like a thick paste. Apply the mixture to dry hair; massage it into your scalp too. Wrap your hair in plastic wrap (or use a shower cap) and then wrap the warm towel around your head and leave it on for about 20 minutes.
You can hang out here at Katherine’s Corner while you wait. Then rinse well with warm water and shampoo as usual. Your hair will be silky soft. Thank you for your question.
“May the Lord bless you and keep you; may He let His grace shine upon you and be gracious to you; may the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace.” Numbers 6:24-6:26 NIV

hi Katherine, this sounds like a treatment my hair would love. I use a product for conditioning and I’ll have to give this a try next time. I just added my name to your list of followers.
Hope your day is going great……

Two cups of mayo? Seriously? That’s a lot of mayo, I don’t have that much hair.

. If you have short hair you can just cut the recipe in half 🙂

Great remedy! I also struggle with dry hair, especially a dry scalp. I find that it also helps to not wash my hair everyday.
kath1960 says
Good advice Heather. washing you hair to often strips the oils. If you already have dry hair skipping a day sure doesn’t hurt. Hugs!
