Okay, I know you’re probably sick of hearing about our anniversary. But this is really low in the mush factor. A little warning to my veggie friends. This post contains a raw meat photo. I really had not planned this post so no time to create well staged photos or anything…hope you don’t mind. As you know ( if you’ve read my previous post) our anniversary was on the 1st and we celebrated this past weekend. The weather was beautiful. We spent some wonderful time together. We finished our lovely weekend off by breaking in the barbecue.
We made baby backed ribs, steamed asparagus and shrimp. Do I hear the word Yum? I thought so. it was delish. Being the foodies that we are we were smiling a lot during this meal. Of course sharing it with my amazing husband is always a reason to smile. (a little mush )
My dry rub is never measured out so I don’t think I can “officially” call this post a recipe post. I often use no real measuring system when I’m winging it in the kitchen. But, it’s fun to experiment so I’ll provide you with the ingredients and then let you run with it. Let me know if you try it. Enjoy!

What You Need
Baby back ribs
garlic powder, dry oregano, dry basil, dry thyme, salt and pepper, dry parsley,Mrs Dash spicy seasoning. Equal amounts for everything except the garlic ( twice as much) and the salt and pepper half as much.
Mix all together and rub all over the ribs. Cook on medium for about 25 minutes per side. Add BBQ sauce when serving if desired ( not really needed).

Katie-kins, I’m so glad you two had such a lovely anniversary! May the Lord bless you with many more together. I make my own BBQ sauce but haven’t done so in a while. Now I’m drooling for ribs!
