Dear Katie I never eat my ice cream fast enough. Well, sometimes I do, ha,ha. Is there a way to keep ice crystals from forming all over it in the freezer? Anita
Dear Anita, this time of the year I can’t keep the ice cream in our freezer. Our grandchildren make sure of that. But, what a great question. I’ve found that if you just put your ice cream into an airtight container before you freeze it, or cover the ice cream container tightly with plastic wrap before placing it in the freezer ,you can keep the ice crystals from covering your ice cream and leaving that freezer taste. Great tip. I’ll have to see if it works in cooler weather, when ice cream last a little longer.

I should have bought them when I had the chance!

What a great idea to put plastic wrap over the container before closing it! While I personally never have this problem with the ice cream I buy for myself, my kids tend to forget about it and it gets a little freezer burned. I’ll have to try this!
