Grilled Corn On The Cob
Grilled Corn on the Cob-
In our area corn is is at every corner road side stand stand. I love the taste of grilled corn. Grilling corn on the cob is eazy peazy.
What You Need
Corn on the cob
Barbecue grill ( or broiler)
Canola Oil
Butter
Salt and pepper
Seasoning of your choice ( fresh garlic, or basil finely chopped)
Aluminum Foil ( optional)
Large bowl
Basting brush
Before you Start: Preheat the grill to 350° Remove the husk and the silks and rinse under cool water ( if you are prefer to leave the husk on please see below in Katies Tid Bits) Fill a large bowl with cold water and place the corn in the water for about 15 minutes.
Lets Make It! Tear off a square of aluminum foil big enough to completely cover your corn cob. Place the corn in the center of the foil and rub the garlic all over the corn, using a basting brush, brush the corn with oil , sprinkle with salt and pepper and wrap the foil closed around the corn cob. Place on your barbecue grill. Cook for about 20-25 minutes, rotating the corn regularly until fork tender( juice squirts out when poked with fork). Carefully remove the corn from the foil ( use pot holders! Place the corn on the grill to char and turn ( do not leave on the grill). Add butter and serve!

I’ve always soaked the corn and grilled it in the husks but I’m changing my tune!

We usually just boil it, but it does taste better grilled.
Hi, Katie! I grew up in a rural area and among my earliest memories were the many times we cooked corn in the husk on an outdoor fireplace. I learned to love corn prepared by that method, particularly white corn. Soggy, canned yellow corn was my least favorite choice. I hope you and Izzy have a wonderful week, dear friend!
We used to grill it in foil, but it’s been a very long time. I love corn and this makes me want to cook out! (but the skeeters and heat make me think twice about it) Maybe when the weather cools down.
