Tid Bit Tuesday Artsy Fartsy
Time for a little over sharing, it’s Tid Bit Tuesday……I’m tired…( see yesterday’s post)…… I titled this post artsy fartsy, because, well, I am! giggle.
Ever since I was a young girl I have loved art. All forms. I have created things with my hands, painted, sculpted, designed, drawn , sketched and mushed around with every medium you can imagine. I love to visit galleries, go to art fairs, art shows and museums. I will stop and admire street art, sidewalk art and graffiti art. I am drawn to the Impressionist style at museums and throughout history. With favorites Claude Monet, Vincent Van Gogh, Pierre Renoir and Alfred Sisley at the top of my list.
I always manage to find creative ways to share my art -through my Blog Art websiteBlog Art By Katherine ( what can I create for you?… excuse the shameless plug) here at Katherines Corner, art I create for friends and family, designs and creations in my shops Keepsakes By Katherine and Be Well Gifts ( more shameless plugs 🙂 ) and best of all, artwork I create with our grandchildren.

When I have the time and energy I love to create and do all kinds of crafts. If only I could sew 🙂 Your handmade items are gorgeous Katherine.

Interesting blog; multi-faceted indeed. I thoroughly enjoy art, but I’m no good at it. Bear’s paws are a bit large for anything artistic.

Yes, I am! I love to paint, draw, pastels, pottery, hand built and thrown, graphic arts and inking, sculpting, etc… I am like you and love the Impressionists! Monet is my hero!

Sadly, no, I don’t have an ounce of artistic talent (but it doesn’t hold me back from trying anyway, when it comes to doing things w/the kiddos). But I’m really glad to see you touting some of the things you do because I love your work and after many visits here, didn’t even know that you did such great things for others!! I should have gone further than the post of the day (or up to a few back), but I am guessing I’m not the only one who does that. 🙂 I hope you get a ton of business (well, as much as you want anyway). 🙂
There are days when I think if I don’t do something creative, I’ll go nuts! Thats why I adore visiting blogs and Etsy shops. So much talent out there and so many venues with which to get ideas, you know those “light bulb moments.” While I’m not very good at sketching or illustrations. (I wish I were) I love the creativity that comes with being able to do that! I pretty much taught myself how to sew. Mind you, it’s only the basics but I still manage to find inspiring ideas by adding various ribbons, fabric and notions to the items I make. 🙂
I was when I was younger. Not so much now. It is very relaxing and therapeutic when I do get crafty.

Funny…thanks for the giggles this morning.
I actually have a little art studio that I share with several other artists. I am a water colorist. I just LOVE creating water color paintings; it is so relaxing and a sort of therapy for me. HEY! you’ve inspired me…I think I will go paint today!
I have very little artistic ability of my own, Katie, but I love Impressionist style art. My favorites also include Monet, Van Gogh and Renoir. I am fortunate to live close to the Ringling Museum of Art in Sarasota which boasts 21 galleries of European paintings and features a world renowned collection of work by Peter Paul Rubens. I have visited Ringling many times along with the Salvador Dali Museum in St. Petersburg.
I used to be, but not so much now. Before the grandkids came along, I could keep my paints and things, out. When the grandkids were born, I started having to put it away. Finally, I just stopped getting it out at all. The camera is helping me find a little bit of creativity and is much easier to put away!
