It occurred to me the other day that I didn’t share something very important….What we did this summer! I say “we” loosely. My sweet hubby and our nephew finished our anniversary gift in August. They worked almost every weekend this summer to get this beauty completed. Do any of you remember the garden shed that I had on my vision board? Their hard work paid off big time! We will do the landscaping around the shed next spring. But I just had to share the process ( sorry a little photo heavy). In addition to this lovely garden shed you can see that we also put in a fence. Knocking down the neighbors worn and dangerous fence. We had repaired it several times over the past 7 years and it was often found laying in our yard. It was a wonderful feeling! The new fence is the perfect backdrop for our new cottage shed. I am thrilled!

Looks great! I don’t have a garden shed, just a storage building.

That’s a handsome shed, Katie, a great d.i.y. project from start to finish. You can feel proud of it. We had a very lovely shed on our property but the homeowner’s association forced us to remove it because it was somehow in violation of the rules.

What a pretty little garden shed! We don’t have one, but I do wish we did as then I might be able to get the second car in the garage!

Turned out very nice!
If I had a garden shed, the only thing in it would be the lawnmower. And if I could afford Astro Turf, I wouldn’t even need that.

Lovely, I agree that the fence needed to go. The guys did a great job, I’m impressed! But the perfect complement to all this work are those gorgeous mountains in the background. I love how they look in your “foundation” picture.

Oh Katherine, I am so jealous! My husband and I have been wanting to build a little house like this in our backyard for awhile now. We would add about three windows and make it into a playhouse for our kids. Now that they’re a little older, it would be more of a music or art room.
I have an idea for a post for you – do you think your husband and nephew could put together a tutorial with steps on how to make this type of house? Have a great weekend!

The mountain view is gorgeous! Congrats on the shed, love the window boxes. Hope you get that cottage by the water very soon. Your vision board is something I see every so often, I keep meaning to make one, I think it will have to become a priority ♥

Your cottage shed is beautiful! We have an old aluminum building that is currently our “barn” for everything from greasy ATV and lawnmowers to wood working tools – I so want one of these for myself and my own stuff {is that selfish?} Your helpers did a great job!

What a cute garden shed! I just converted mine to a chicken coop to replace the flimsy one and keep the girls snug for the winter. I’m hoping to build a bigger shed for gardening, but that won’t be until spring.

I used to have a garden shed at the old place. I loved it. I designed it just like I wanted it and it was perfect. Big potting bench, sink, seed mat.. ahhh.. I wish I had one here. Yours is terrific! I love it to bits.
