Valentine Banner Bunting a child friendly craft
It’s been a while since I posted any kind of crafty-ness. I thought I would share this simple and child friendly valentine bunting ( banner) craft. 🙂
What you need
Felt ( 8×10 pieces) as many as you would like to make ( I cut two hearts per felt piece)
Scissors
Paper or card stock ( for your heart template)
Ribbon
Glue
Felt Pen
Plain paper
Exacto knife ( this will be for the grown ups to use)
Small heart shaped paper doilies (same amount as your felt hearts)
Large heart shaped paper doilies (same amount as your felt hearts)
Lets Get Crafty!
Cut a heart template out of the card stock (mine was about 4 1/2 inches in diameter about 1/2 inch smaller than the large doilies)
Place it on top of your felt and cut around. Cut as many as you like ( I cut 7)
Glue the felt hearts onto the large doilies,
Glue the smaller doilies to the center.
Draw hearts or messages on a piece of paper and cut them out and glue to the center of the hearts ( where you want your message) .
Optional-Add sparkle with some glitter or sequins etc.
Let it dry
When dried, Cut vertical slits using the exacto knife ( the children will have to watch you do this pert) in all of the hearts in about the same place on all of them.
Slip your ribbon through the slits.
Taa daa! What do you think? Easy right! 🙂
