Breakfast Time

tid bit tuesdayIts tid bit Tuesday! Over sharing day…many of you know from previous posts that I am a morning person. There are a lot of things I love about morning and one of them is breakfast. To me the best breakfast is on the weekends when my sweet hubby cooks in the mornings ( most things except muffins ,breads and pancakes). He can rock eggs, bacon and hash browns like nobody’s business. Add an English muffin with all of the nooks and cranny’s filled with margarine and marmalade, or my favorite blueberry muffins and I start the day in pure bliss.

  1. I am a morning person but I never eat breakfast, although nutritionists say I should. I am never hungry in the morning and rarely hungry at lunch time. I find that I am most hungry at night which is the wrong time to eat, especially if it’s snacks and junk food. I indulge in pretzels and raw, unsalted peanuts in the evening which explains why I’m not hungry in the morning. Have a wonderful Tuesday, dear friend Katie!

  2. All looks delicious and I have been eating Irish Soda Bread my Mother-in-Law made for St. Paddy’s Day the last week or so. So yummy and we had so much of it. Usually though I eat oatmeal and as a treat on sundays sometimes I make pancakes. Good morning by the way and must admit I am not really a morning person though and have had to become one with two little kids!!

  3. Good Morning Katherine,

I am also a morning person. I just love waking up early and hearing all the birds start to sing. I especially love it in the summer when it is warm. I so look forward to warm weather coming soon.

I usually eat something high in protein in the morning. Recently it is a chicken patty on toasted sprouted bread. I butter my toast and sandwich the patty in between then cut it into little wedges. It keeps me going for most of the morning.

I love french toast but usually I will have that at night for supper because of the carbs. It is fun having breakfast for supper.

    Have a great day!

  4. Not necessarily a morning person, but I like to get up and at it most mornings by 7 AM – read my emails and have a bowl of Fibre One cereal with some fruit. Weekends I love to make “big breakfast”, my favorite being french toast.

  5. Yum this looks so good. I amy just eat breakfast again. xoGinger

  6. Thanks for entering your reviews/give-aways at Show Off Tuesday! If you spread the word I surely would appreciate it. It’s fairly new, and I’d like the word to get around! Now look at this! WOW! I’m such a breakfast fiend! I could eat breakfast food morning, noon and night! Thanks for sharing! So what time do we eat!? lol I’ll bring the hot coffee or would you prefer a tall glass of cold milk? :)

  7. Everything looks so good!! I am a morning person but usually just grab something simple during the week! Weekends are a bit more fancy since hubby is home. We’re eggs, bacon and hashbrown types but I’ll take a wonderful pancake anyday! Have a fabulous day……I’m going to go get something to eat! LOL!~~Angela

  8. The pictures look good. I eat breakfast sometimes. I make sure the kids always do. :)

  9. What a sweet fella to cook breakfast! Yum, it sounds good, too….tho I would put some local honey on my muffin. LOL I’m a morning person….love to get up and have my tea on my screen porch and listen to the day begin. :)

I have become a morning person. I always heard that as people get older, they tend to get up earlier, and that has happened to me. I now love getting up at anywhere from 6 to 8 am, brew a nice strong cup of coffee and sit at my computer and get some work done in the quiet with only the birds chirping.
Then about 8:30 or 9 I have my oatmeal with all the fixings: blueberries, blackberries, walnuts, almonds and banana.

  11. There’s nothing like a delicious, tasty, satisfying breakfast. YUMMY! And how sweet that your husband helps out, too. My hubby is in charge of breakfast each day and I always start the day off right. :)

  12. Am not really a morning person LOL….

  13. I’ll take one of everything.

  14. I am not a morning person. I am the one that is going to bed when most people are getting up, ha! Your pictures of breakfast ideas are so tempting, but as brunch or dinner for me.

  15. ooooooh, everything looks so yummy in your pictures! I am not a morning person but I do eat breakfast. In fact, I’m sitting here eating cereal right now as I read your blog. I eat either cold cereal or oatmeal and that’s pretty much it (oh, and turkey sausage). I save the fancy breakfasts for evening as I don’t like a big filling breakfast in the morning.

Breakfast and brunch have always been my favorite meals, Katie. I would rather eat out on any special day in the morning rather than at night. Usually, I eat a very simple healthy breakfast. But my favorites include eggs, applewood bacon, hash browns, homemade biscuits…I need to stop thinking about this right now!
Thanks for your sweet comments on my post today!! You are such a great friend!

  17. I am NOT a morning person. If I have to be up, just give me my coffee and don’t dare speak to me for a while. Breakfast foods are great… for dinner. LOL!

  18. Im a slow mover in the morning…but I do eat breakfast. Usually toast with peanut butter and jelly, and bananas if I have them. =)

  19. I ease into morning with a cappuccino followed by a fruit smoothie. Like for you, breakfast is bigger on the weekends.
