Chicken Kebobs
I hope everyone had a nice weekend. This is perfect for on the grill. I’m keeping it super simple today with this easy and delish chicken kebobs recipe. please note it requires marinating overnight. Sometimes the simplest recipes are the best, don’t you agree? Do you spell kebob with an a or an e? I’ve seen it spelled both ways. 🙂
What You Need
Marinade
1 1/2 lb chicken breast (boneless, skinless cut into bite sized pieces)
2 Cups Italian salad dressing (your favorite)
1 Large Bermuda onion (cut into large pieces)
Container with cover (big enough to hold the chicken)
The night before- place chicken into the container, pour salad dressing over the top of the chicken rotate chicken to coat well, sprinkle the onion pieces over the top of the chicken and dressing. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Shish Kebobs
2 Zucchini (cleaned and sliced into thick pieces)
2 Bell peppers (cleaned cut into bite sized pieces
1 Large Bermuda onion (cut into bite sized pieces)
Black pepper to taste
Wood skewers (or metal)
Barbecue grill or broiler
Meat thermometer
Pot holder, tongs or oven mitt ( for turning skewers)
Before You Start- See the marinade information above. Then soak your wooden skewers in water for about 30 minutes (this will keep them from burning on the grill.
Lets Make It! Alternate chicken and vegetables on your skewers and sprinkle with pepper. Place on medium temperature grill. Turning often, Test doneness with meat thermometer
Serves 4-6

How easy is this? I usually make my marinade but a bottle of dressing is so easy. I’m going to try it.

I have never made or eaten shish kabobs Katie but they certainly look good to me. I just asked my mother if she has ever eaten them and she said yes and they taste lovely. Thanks for sharing on Creative Monday and enjoy the rest of your day my friend.

We make our kabobs the same way. Something about Italian or Caesar dressing that just brings out the flavor.

I use Italian dressing on chicken in the crock pot all the time, but this looks and sounds delicious. And… I COULD DO THIS ONE!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sending you and yours tons of hugs and love!!!!! Enjoy your granddaughter also! Sounds FABULOUS!!!! Give my friend Izzy a BIG Hug and tons of hugs to you too! I will make your yummy recipe…but marinate a portobello or tofu in place of the chicken…it’s funny when you are a vegetarian for as long as me…you just seem to actually see those words in the recipe in the name of the meats place : ) LOL!!!!
