  1. I have them too. I can get a panic attack from the smallest thing…but like you I don’t take medicine. I’ve tried to learn how to deal with it on my own. Now, at 30, I feel like I’m able to tell when I’m being irrational and talk myself down a bit. I had 2 really bad years where my floors had to sparkle all the time…that’s probably a whole other disorder! But now I know my triggers and cope better. Thanks for talking about it, makes me feel like less of a nut 🙂

  2. Katharine~ thanks for sharing this personal story-it’s really inspiring-and we never have to be alone.

So glad you linked up with us at the BeBetsy BRAG ABOUT IT Link and Hop

    Have a great week~xoxo

  3. Katherine, I enjoyed your video. Beautiful images. Panic attacks can be very frightening. How wonderful of you to share your experience and how you’ve learned to manage them. Hugs.

  4. I’d like to say I have no experience with panic attacks, but I know them well. It took a while, but I finally learned how to overcome them, which was a big help when my (grown) kids began having them, too.

  5. Hi Katherine,
I was up at 3:00 a.m. for the last couple mornings thinking about my “to do” list before we go on a 3 week trip. So although not a panic attack, I realize that I need to get back to meditation and prayer to get myself back into sync. (I realize that I have not practiced yoga for the last several days too) Thank you so much for the reminder and i love your video. Much aloha, Lori

  6. I suffered from anxiety attacks in my 20’s too! The older I get – the healthier I have become – mentally and spiritually. Your video is beautiful!

  7. Its a very lovely video, thanks so much for sharing it.
Im glad you were able to help someone go thru a Panic attack.

I had a anxiety attack once ( many years ago ) ..and it was a tough experience to go thru..

  8. It’s a nice video. I haven’t had a panic attack, but I did go through a period after a surgical procedure (when I had my last child) that left me with migraines every single time stress came around (good or bad). It was so disconcerting, so I can relate on that level. I’m glad you found a way to deal with your panic episodes, and that you were there for someone who needed help recently. It’s usually so much easier to help when you have been through it yourself.

  9. Thanks for sharing from you hard learned lessons on panic. I have never had a panic attack but have been with friends who have … and it is frightening.

    Fondly,
    Glenda

  10. There is nothing like that feeling of being out of control when you’re filled with panic and anxiety. Your meditation video is exactly the type of focus needed when you’re feeling that way. I always enjoy the last 5 minutes of yoga when we lie on the floor and meditate for a few minutes to focus for the day. Thank you so much for sharing – I’m sure many will relate to your story as I have.

  11. Thanks Katie for sharing this here and I have to admit I have never really had a panic attack myself, but have known family and friends, who have had them and they are quite scary and depilating. So, this was very kind of you to share your experiences and the video, too. Hope this helps others who may be in need!!
