Everyone is thinking about the change of seasons these days and that includes me. The first day of Autumn is on Sunday, according to the calendar. I am so ready! When I saw a fun party for holiday home decor and craftiness at my lovely friend Shannon’s blog, Fox Hollow Cottage I knew I wanted to join in. It’s a Primp Your Pumpkin Party! There are some wonderful pumpkins included in the party and Shannon’s are lovely too.
I gathered up some crafty supplies and got down to business. I had already started painting a bit when I realized I should take a photo. Because lets face it, I’m making time to be crafty and that is blog worthy. 🙂
For my pumpkins I used
modge podge
styrofoam pumpkins
wrapping paper
paint
sponge brushes
disposable bowl
glitter
and the watchful eye of Izzy my creative supervisor
Carefully remove the stems. Cut strips of wrapping paper. Brush on some modge podge. Add a piece of wrapping paper, repeat until completely covered.Brush modge podge all over . Let dry and paint stems. replace stems and taa daa.
Izzy waited patiently while I made the pumpkins, 🙂

Modge podge is so fun, it’s like paper mache’ for grown ups.
My primped pumpkins are sitting on our living room mantle . A hopeful reminder of the upcoming season change. It’s still very warm here, but fingers crossed, my favorite season will show up, not just on the calendar but outside too.
