Finding Your Home Design Style-
With my recent health challenges and my new medications I am finding it difficult to concentrate on one thing for very long. Lack of focus is a real challenge for the multi tasker in me, not to mention trying to create and blog. I have plenty of magazines to thumb through,and most of them focus on Your Home Design Style. So, as we all prepare to say goodbye to the long lazy days of summer, picnics in the park and long weekend getaways. I find I am craving some home design changes, sweaters and open windows on chilly evenings. I will miss the summer songs of crickets. But, this summer has been a tough one for me in many ways. I will watch it fade into Autumn with smile. Thankfully there are no triple digits days in the forecast (at the moment) and if you are a regular reader at Katherines Corner you know I hate hot! If you have to be stuck inside, central air conditioning is a blessing.
So what can I share when inspiration is absent and watching time pass in between medications is my new normal (temporary)? Maybe a fun quiz. Not just any quiz, but a quiz to Find Your Home Decor Style. I found it at Better Homes and Gardens you can take it HERE My result was-

My spirit pattern is Toile- According to My Domaine magazine “You’re drawn to femininity in design and you’re interested in tradition and history. You love details, be it a well-accessorized mantel or an armchair with subtle pleating. You might even cop to being a little bit preppy.”
If you follow me on google plus, or instagram you probably already saw my Walmart flowers. But just in case you missed it-The carnations were less than $5.00 and the vase came from the dollar store. 🙂

Hi Katie–according to the BHG quiz, I am Country French. It has certainly given me something to think about. I do love the Country French style, but my home doesn’t currently reflect that. Hmmm. BTW, I’m with you 100%–I hate hot. We have loads of friends moving south or planning to retire south, but our joke is that if we move anywhere, it’s going to be north! Hope your week-end is grand 🙂
I wished for more heat here in the summer really, it wasn’t hot enough. Most of the time it rained, so we should have swapped weathers 😉 I hope you have a great weekend xx
