4 Soups To Warm You –

Its definitely soup weather, its 17 degrees and another storm is on the way!  The perfect weather for hot soup and crusty french bread. This kind of weather begs you to stay at home. But you will need some fresh groceries to make these 4 tummy warming soups. A trip to the store can be a lot easier than you may imagine. I have been invited to share a Review of Walmart’s new FREE grocery pick up service It really does alleviate some of my “self imposed” guilty feelings. My health challenges mean I can no longer drive and I have to ask hubby to take me to the shops after he works a long and often stressful day. Now I just say, please stop by Walmart, our grocery pick up order is ready.

Using Walmart’s new Grocery Pickup Service I ordered everything on line and scheduled a pickup time. Lets walk through the process. Please go to Walmart grocery pick up locations to find out if your local Walmart has this free grocery pick up service. Then grab your grocery list, sign on and fill your  cart.

1 Add items to your cart

2 Review your cart and select a pickup time ( they have a one hour window) and you can add someone else to pick it up. If you won’t be doing it yourself

3 Complete your purchase

4 You receive a call or text informing you that your order is ready for pickup

5 Park in the designated space and call the number on the board to let them know you have arrived

6 Someone will greet you with a smile and load your groceries for you, boom chaka laka! Now go home and make soup!

User friendly website for ordering
No need to have someone take you and wait for you, it’s a quick 15 minute trip to get there, load up and get home
Less impulse buying ( it helps you stick to your list and to your budget)
It’s for groceries and personal items ( soaps, etc)
You can allow substitutions on one, or all, of your items. If your specific item/brand is not available. If a substituted product has a higher price you will not pay the additional amount.
They have fresh from the bakery French bread, the perfect accompanment for soups.

Cons

You will not find the whole store online. But, you will find a lot of great products

No regular receipt, which means you won’t be able to use the online savings catcher
They have fresh from the bakery French bread. But it is only half a loaf! I must admit that since I used this service they did add other French and Italian breads to the grocery list. But that ½ loaf is still there. Hubby and I love their French bread! We’ve made our own, purchased from markets and bakeries and still Walmart’s French bread comes out on top every time

On a side note- I have to wait to eat fresh bread. The yeast must be 24 hours old. Walmart bakes their bread fresh every day. I have to wait to eat the bread because they will add the freshest bread to your order. Hubby and I only eat bread on the weekends, so often times the date is not a big deal because we won’t be eating it straight away.

Well there you have it-

• I really do think this is a terrific service and it opens up a world of opportunities.
• The no fuss no muss ease is perfect for EVERYONE
• People with health challenges, and
• Those who can’t drive, and
• Parents with young children in tow. You know it can often lead to a melt down at the check out for those impulse buy goodies. Not a problem, because they never get out of the car.
• I think the elderly will love this service too. I have helped seniors ( I consider a senior 75 years of age or older) to reach groceries on the shelves, look for their checkbook or needing a little more money at the checkout. I think all of these occurrences will be lessened if everything is ordered online
  Okay, bottom line- Walmart grocery pick up service is GREAT they have fresh French bread and I feel better about asking people for their time. My highest rating, Five Stars!
