  1. I’m happy that you can take advantage of this service to make life a little easier, Katherine. I live about a mile from a large Walmart store. However, I do not and will never patronize it because I disagree with their marketing practices and their treatment of their employees. They are a very large and powerful company, but the low wages they pay their employees and the way they drive companies out of business by the sheer size of their buying power are not things I want to support with my money. If you are interested, you might want to explore a bit on-line to learn more about them, but not from them.

I don’t write these things to be mean-spirited, nor to dissuade anyone from shopping at Walmart, but just to mention another viewpoint. I think many people are uninformed about this particular company and its practices.

  2. Hi Katherine,
Thanks for posting an interesting article.

We have a Walmart Super Center here where I live. The French bread offered at their location is definitely not of the high quality as I ate in Paris. The crust is way too soft, and the interior is not as tender and does not have the large holes in the texture. The closest I’ve come to French bread as I remember is from the (imported from France) frozen French loaves ready for baking. Yes, the cost is higher, but is cheaper than boarding a flight to France.

  3. I also got to review Walmart Grocery a few months back. Unfortunately they still aren’t available here yet, but hoping soon. Thank you for sharing your experience and four soup recipe ideas, too. Hugs and Happy Tuesday now xoxo 😉
