Sweet Easter Memories 2011

One of the best things about being a Grandmother of five beautiful  grandchildren is the freedom to indulge. Treats, hugs, smooches, giggle, and lots of fun.  Because at Grandma’s house we break the rules.  Candy is often eaten before dinner, bath time is more about bubbles and swimming than getting clean, staying up past bedtime is encouraged and dancing until your legs are weak happens frequently.

Being a Grandma rocks!

Easter memory making began with a big roasted chicken dinner.

Don’t you love that bright tablecloth! giggle. It’s vinyl so easy clean up!

 

 

 

 

then opening of the Easter baskets . This year they were Easter pails.

 

 

 

 

 

Then the finale! the egg hunt!!

  6. Katherine, it sounds like you’re a wonderful grandmother and everyone has fun at your house. My father’s mother was just like you and you’ve brought back such great memories for me of all of the fun we had at her house.

  11. Grandchildren are such a blessing! Those eggs are too gorgeous to touch the ground. (you should do them in wood so they will last FOREVER)

Our Easter was a lot of fun…but sadly my “big boys” are too old for Easter egg hunts but not quite at the grandmother stage yet either, so neither here nor there…sooo miss having a little one to do these things with though!!
