Google News at Katherines Corner
Please stay tuned for a very important announcement……………….Some of you may already know this. But….. GFC follow, join and friend, will stop working for all non-Blogger sites in March. It is my understanding that it may end completely for all blogs ( including blogger) in the new year too. As of this post I have 2179 bloggy friends who have joined in on the GFC follower. It is a blessing, truly, to have so many wonderful people interested in my little corner of the internet world…Please, oh please…..Please follow Katherines Corner through email,or add me to your google circle( see my right sidebar) ,or you can always create a blog list with blog buttons, or links to your favorite places too. I’m very nervous about this whole blogger change up. Because Katherines Corner was once at blogger( my long time bloggy friends, you know who you are ,moved with me) When I transferred over to wordpress I just imported my old blog posts ( and all the blogger coding along with it) I hope everything stays put. information from GFC blog

Hi Katherine, I clicked the link you provided for “information from gfc blog” and couldn’t find anything about follow, friend connect or the other concerns you mentioned???
Yes the Deadline is there March 2012. Google wants everyone to great a google + account and add friends that way!

Ok, you have me a little nervous here. Do I understand correctly, that in the new year at some point people will not be able to follow me by clicking on join this site? I know Google said something about discontinuing Google Chrome..don’t even know what that is really. That is too bad and I hope that it’s not true.
Why would they do that? And it might stop for everyone? How on earth will we know who is following our blogs? I can still follow through Google Reader, but I know how much it means to bloggers to see a little icon in their GFC box.
Every time they mess with something, chaos ensues. If it ain’t broke, why the need to fix it??? I don’t have a clue what this will cause. Guess I’ll have to wait and see.

This is news to me….I had not heard this. Any changes make me apprehensive!! I sure hope I can stay in touch with everyone….this is such a large part of my life now. Katherine, this is the first I have heard about this!!! How do you set-up the email subscription thingie??? This is so confusing. Why the change?
What???!!!! I hadn’t heard anything about this!! I’m confused now, being not so savvy about computer stuff…how will we follow people and know when they update their blogs now?! O_O That’s how I keep up with everybody!….*sigh*
gosh…now am feeling apprehensive too. If GFC is going away, means Google readers is also going away?
