I mentioned yesterday that I had a few surprises this week and here’s the first one! I’m giving my blog over to my sweet bloggy friend Debbie today. I’m partying with our grandchildren while our daughter and son in law are out of town for a while. It’s our last opportunity for some fun sleepovers before school starts. You’re in good hands while I’m away though.

Hi There Katherine Corner friends. I’m Debbie from Deliciously Inspired and I’m delighted to be here today to share a fun way to serve oats for breakfast. When Katherine asked me to share a recipe I wanted to do something brand new just for her many readers and fans. I was making my steel oats for breakfast and was inspired when my collection of ice cream sundae dishes caught my eye. Viola! The breakfast sundae was born and I smile thinking of the appeal to both adults and children.
Oats, fresh fruit, no artificial sweeteners, coconut and almonds bring a lot of flavor and texture to this morning recipe. Many thanks to Katherine for allowing me the chance to share with you all.
These would be fun to celebrate a special milestone or birthday for children or maybe invite a few girlfriends over for breakfast. The possibilities are endless – just pick your favorite fruit and fruit spread flavor.

Thank you all for your sweet comments. It is amazing how the presentation of a food enhances the joy of eating. We don’t need to go to a restaurant to treat ourselves or those we care about to a special dish – most of us have items around our home that we save for special occasions. I am an advocate of turning any given day as a special occasion. If you should try the recipe – please let me know. It delights my heart. I’ve never heard of a breakfast sundae but I think this is something my whole family would eat. We love to use oats in new ways!
