Christmas Home Tour 2014-
I didn’t go ” all in” with the Christmas decorating this year. I was fighting a losing battle with a terrible cold right after Thanksgiving. I just never quite “had my ducks in a row”. But, I thought it would be fun to share what I did manage to have the energy to decorate. Since I can’t have you all over for a cup of tea or cocoa, I hope this simple Christmas Home Tour 2014 will make you smile. Most of all I want to let you know, I love sharing the Christmas spirit with you all. I shared a peek at our Christmas tree yesterday at the hop ( you can still link up today too).
Welcome to our home
We have outside lights on the first floor only. I love the twinkling lights and the reindeer.
Oops, look the door wreath is crooked, I”l fix that…
Just a little adjustment and it’s right back where it belongs. The cute Christmas tree sign on the right of the door was my birthday gift this year (made by our grandchildren). ♥ “may your days be merry and bright”.
I added some teal touches to the Christmas tree this year.
I also tied a pretty teal heart with a ribbon and placed it in the tree top angel’s hand.
The mantel is always one of the first things I decorate. What do you decorate first?

The buffet had a change this year too. I usually display the European Santa collection here. This year I wanted to add the poinsettia art I created. If you missed the diy please click HERE. I might make one for the spring that looks like a big Gerber daisy:-)
I added a few Christmas touches to the kitchen. I plan to buy some little rolling pins this year ( I planned to last year, wink) to add to the kitchen Christmas tree. I think I’ll paint them with some fun colors and maybe add polka dots.
A pretty balsam hill wreath hangs in the dining room window.
This amaryllis plate is one of my favorite Christmas pieces for the kitchen. ♥
I have mentioned in the past how much I love fresh cut flowers on the dining table.
I added some fresh carnations to the reindeer centerpiece.
I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to wait until sunset and share this last photo of the tree.
As I bring this simple tour to a close I must end with the reason for the season. ♥

Oh, my. I am so in love with your Teal tree! I love the Angels where did you get them? I’m so sorry to hear that you were/are ill. I have been very ill myself. I have not been able to make the presents yet. I have been really heartbroken since we lost my father – in-law Pa Bear along with our upstairs neighbor Rod. I am praying for a better year in the coming year.. Also, could you please pray for me as I may be getting diagnosed with Young Onset Parkinson Disease.
Hello Karen, thank you, I have been collecting angels for many years. I don’t remember where all of them came from. But some were purchased at a lovely store in Utah called rainbow gardens. I am truly sorry for your loss and hope the holiday season and the new year bring only good things your way. I pray you will not be diagnosed with early onset Parkinsons. I had tremors for years ( still have a head shakes now and then) I know how awful they can be. Big Hugs!
