Holiday Magazine My Way Challenge Blog Tour
This was so much fun! Back in November I invited you all to join me in what I hoped would become an annual event, the Holiday Magazine My Way Challenge. You may remember that Debbie Doos had the Copycat Magazine challenge a few years ago. If you are familiar with it, I did contact Debbie and she graciously accepted my version. The instructions for the challenge were to use a new or old holiday magazine cover (November/December) as your inspiration. Recreate it your way, by creating a copy using your own items. Or recreate the cover completely with your vision.
I met my challenge using these two wonderful Christmas Magazine Covers.
Behind the scenes- Our oldest granddaughter (age 16) was my photo prop helper. We had a great time.
The macaroons were very delicate and difficult to work with. But, I understand they were quite tasty ( wink.)
I love the little party favor/gift in the teacup of the second cover. Such a sweet treasure for everyone who comes for Christmas tea.
I used my point and shoot canon power shot camera, white backer board, natural light and a tv tray. Do you have a favorite? I wish I would have made the Katherines Corner title on the second one a bit brighter. Oh well maybe next year.
Before we move on to the blog tour of all of the lovely participants. I invite you to add your blog post to the Thursday hop. You can link and share until midnight Saturday. Don’t forget to enter the new tidy up giveaway and add your cookie recipes to the cookie swap link up. Also, I will be having FastFive sales in the Katherines Corner Shops this weekend and you I will announce the discount codes randomly on google plus and on facebook too.
It’s time to take the Holiday Magazine My Way Challenge blog tour and I can’t wait to see everyone’s recreations!
All of the participants will be included in a random drawing and 2 winners will each receive a one year subscription to Veranda Magazine, Elle Decor or House Beautiful magazine (winner’s choice).
To take the tour just click on each blog in the tour list below.

Your designs are, as always, simply gorgeous! I opted, as usual, for a vintage twist . . . I can’t get my photos to come out right without natural, outside lighting and the days are so short and cloudy, that just didn’t happen here this time. You are always such an inspiration to me! xoxoxo

Your teacup and saucer is stunningly beautiful, Katherine. (The macaroons are too pretty to eat.)
You created gorgeous magazine covers! The behind the scenes show how creative and fun this was. I love them! oxo
