Our cute Izzy had a birthday, our boy is now 6 years old. I love this photo. It was completely spontaneous, no staging. I felt him looking at me and turned and there he was poking his little head out from under his blanket. I couldn’t help myself I grabbed my phone and took a quick photo. That’s right, I just broke up with Instagram and this would be the perfect photo to share ( wink).

I had two amazing friends as my guests recently Cynthia B Ainsworthe and Marla Martenson. If you missed their posts please click their names to enjoy. I have another darling friend ( we have been friends for nearly 8 years now) and she is currently celebrating here newest book. She’s on her book tour now. You probably know her, Karianne Wood, she’s the amazing blogger at Thistlewood Farms. This is such a terrific book. I’ll share more about it shortly. Sunday at 2 am we spring ahead one hour. Can I just say how much I dislike daylight saving time. I mean really, who are we kidding? If we have one less, or in this case, one more, hour of daylight in the evening. Does it matter that much? Will the birds sing longer, flowers bloom longer will that extra hour of daylight change much for you? Hubby and I will still go to bed at the same time, whether we fall back an hour or spring ahead one hour. Ugh…please share your thoughts with me.
It’s nearly wedding season and I’ve been busy creating new products for my shop. Handwritten note cards are such a treasure these days. A lot of us enjoy happy birthday greetings via an electronic device, or social media mention. But, the handwritten note, letter or card provides the personal touch and the sentiment our hearts can hold dear. Aren’t these cute. I really think these note cards a nice way to welcome spring. When was the last time you sent someone you love a note without any special occasion.?You can get yours HERE. I like to use the empty box as a business card keeper. Aha… a new uses for old things idea. I receive a lot of business cards and most of them I don’t need to reference very often. The note card pouch works well for keeping them all in one place and it’s so pretty, bonus( smile).

There is nothing like getting a hand written note in the mail or attached to a gift. And I so agree about the changing of the time. It just messes with my body I wish they would stop changing it.

Katherine, I just looked at the post all about Izzy and learned he’s schnauzer and Lahsa Apso. Is that cross a recognized breed now? He’s a keeper, anyway.
Hi Naomi he is officially a “schapso” dog. His Father was a schnauzer and his Mother is a Lhasa Apso. He is an amazing dog and although he is not a trained service dog he instinctively knows what to do when I have seizure and even saved me once by getting my husbands attention ( he was outside) He would run to the window and bark loudly and then check on me and then do it again. Until my hubby had to come in and see what was wrong. Izzy led the way up the stairs to where I was laying on the floor. He is an amazing loving and absolutely adorable companion. Hugs!
I agree, Katherine, about Daylight Savings. I think it’s just a nuisance. I wonder who’s idea it was to begin with? Probably somebody without enough to occupy their mind!
That is a precious photo of Izzy. I had to euthanize my sweet Labradoodle, Tavi, a couple of weeks ago and I am missing him terribly. He was the size of a Standard Poodle with black curly poodle hair and sweet brown eyes and he and I were such friends and companions for each other. So hard to have to lose them. Izzy is only six and he will be with you for a long time, especially since he is a smaller dog. I love the big guys and they aren’t so long-lived. Tavi would have been ten next month.

Naomi, I am so sincerely sorry to learn of your loss. Our dogs are a treasured part of our family. I hope you will find fond memories to replace your sadness. xo

I’m not ready for day light savings time. Lol I’m more than likely going to lose an hour of sleep.

Aw, Happy Saturday Katie. I, for one, happen to love changing the clocks at this time of the year as I do love it staying later at night. But not a fan in the fall on the flip side and it being dark 4:30 in the afternoon. Just so depressing at that time of the year in all honesty. But that said, I hopeful for spring to find us sooner rather than later now xoxo <3
