  1. Katherine, I really enjoyed this post and the video. My mom and dad both love all creatures. My mom has been saving bees, spiders, snakes, and all kinds of bugs that bite – all of my life! My brother and I were raised to appreciate creatures for the role they play in the world and the gift that they are to us. It has raised quite a few eyebrows over the years when one of us picked up a big spider or moved a snake to a safer place. My mom is definitely the kind of person who would save that bee and keep it safe and happy.

Thanks for sharing this and connecting people the way you do. 🙂

  2. Don’t feel so alone now knowing this story caused you to shed tears. Thought was just me being my usual self, am too sensitive. One of the managers at our local Burger King and I have become friends. His Mom worked there also but has become very ill, had several strokes, is not expected to live much longer. He was telling me about her yesterday and the tears just came. He was surprised at my reaction. Somebody once told me am quite compassionate. Heck I cry when bad things happen to people in books I read. What can I do?
Phewy is it awfully hot where you live?, hope not for your sake. .Is over 100 out where we live today but at least we don’t have the humidity as we did in KY, native Kentuckians complained about heat/humidity, was brutal for us from the west. We live few miles west of Grand Junction, CO since August 2004., very dry here.
Was going to hang laundry today but Mr.Furry advised against it as we’re no spring chickens any more. Hate to use dryer when it’s nice out but do make exceptions in certain circumstances.
Your little dog Izzy is so cute, love photo. How old is he and what kind of dog?
Well need to go, Mr.furry has supper ready. Enjoy rest of your weekend Hugs

  3. I love this bee story and have seen it before. Wonderful to be connected to each other and nature. Such a special story; one that strikes deep within each of us. Simple friendship with each other no matter who, what, where or when. Thanks for sharing. Have a wonderful weekend.

  4. What an amazing little story! We all need to be aware of the “genocide” being perpetrated on our bees by the companies that make and sell products that contain chemicals that are poisonous to bees. Our bee population is severely depleted due to these products and they need to be banned asap in order to save the bees. What can we do? Don’t buy the products, don’t apply chemical weedkiller to your lawn, plant bee-friendly flowers and plants. And remember that we humans need the bees for pollinating much of the food we eat. The end of the bees is eventually the end of us.

Thanks for posting the little bee video, Katherine.

  5. Good morning, Katherine. What a beautiful post! I shared it on my Facebook Author page. I’ve seen the video about the woman and the bee before and yes, it’s so lovely. It made me cry as well. Sending you lots of love to you and your family.
