6 DIY Mummy Cookies To Make Now

Happy weekend wishes everyone. Although I am not a fan of Halloween…sorry. I am a fan of cute cookies. I know for many of you it is your favorite holiday. Dressing up eating sweet yummy treats and spooky tricks for treats. In the spirit of Halloween, I present to you my  “easy peasy” mummy cookies and 6 DIY mummy cookies to make now. Enjoy.

What You Need
Sugar cookies (premade, purchased or made from scratch) You can find my recipe HERE
Sugar eyeballs (found in the baking section of your local Walmart or market)
Ornamental frosting (white and green, premade, or purchased)
Frosting piping bag and angled tip ( I use Wilton 2B tip)
Round cookie cutter 3-4 inch (or use a glass, or cup open end)   Okay, do you see where I’m going with this?
You read the easy peasy part, right?

Before you Start! If you are making your cookies from scratch, you will need to make sure they are fully cooled on a cooling rack before frosting. Roll dough to about 1/8 inch thickens and bake according to directions. If you are making your frosting from scratch in a bowl combine frosting and green food coloring)

Let’s Make Mummies!
Using the back of a spoon spread a green strip across the cookie where the eyes will go. Dot the back of each eye with frosting and place on cookie.
Using a slanted tip, drag frosting slowly across each cookie horizontally and vertically until your mummy is wrapped just the way you like it. Leave some of the green frosting showing around the eyes. Set aside for the frosting to set.
And ta daa!

I found some other fun mummy cookies for you to try. Please click the images to go to the original post to comment and pin. All photos belong to their respective blogs.

These are a really cute selection of mummy cookies, Katherine! I don’t really celebrate Halloween either but I do love cute cookies and kids playing dress-up otherwise. 🙂 Happily pinned to my Yummy! board for you and our readers. <3

    Happy fall to you,
