Rainy Days

It’s raining this morning and I love it. Rainy days have always been one of my favorite things. Rainy days help clear all of the “yucky “out of the air. Best of all, it is a reminder that the spring flowers are getting a big drink before making their debut in a couple of weeks.

I love it when it rains in the evening, if I can have a window open ( just a crack) it’s wonderful being lulled to sleep by the rain dancing across our roof. It’s so melodic sometimes, it’s more like a lullabye than a rain storm.

Rainy days often have me drifting in thought to my childhood, yes waaaaaay back when I was about 5 or 6. I loved putting on my red wellies to go puddle jumping! Can you keep a secret? I may or may not have done this as an adult too ( wink).

Rainy days give the earth, air, and even the mind a bit of a refresh. If you focus on the sound of the rain, it can be difficult to focus on anything else.

Rainy days are great stress relievers and jumping in puddles is too. These cute wellies from Joules.com look like great puddle jumpers to me ( wink). I love how tall they are, I added them to my wish list.
