Ant Wrangler
The crazy Utah spring, winter, summer, spring again.. weather has us all a bit confused. How do you dress when it’s 70 degrees on Monday with 45 degrees and hail storms on Tuesday? Seriously, one thing we can always count on is, you can’t count on the spring weather. So, why the ant wrangler title for this post?
Those nasty unwanted spring and summer nuisances are back and they found their way into our home. Apparently, they paid no heed to the confusing weather broadcasts and decided it’s spring or summer and that means it’s time for them to find their way in.
So why the pictures of beautiful spring tulips? They’re so much nicer to look at than a row of ants making their way across the floor.
Que the cowboy western music please, the ant wrangler (me) and my hubby, with his caulk gun drawn and loaded, will get rid of these little nastiest quick and easy. “Quickdraw” hubby wields his mighty gun ( caulk gun) and fills the tiniest of holes in the front door entryway. Meanwhile, I wrangle our unwanted guests inside.

Hate ants. And roaches. We pay someone to spray and in the ten plus years he’s been spraying our house, we haven’t seen one ant.
Great tips on getting rid of ants. We have only seen one or two, not a marching troop.
Great tips Kathryn…I had never heard about chalk.
We have a product here in SW Florida that looks like clear gel. You put a small dab on any kind of cardboard and place it where you think the ants are coming in. The ants eat and nibble or even walk through the gel and take it home to Mama…the queen… and once Mama gets it…some scatter away looking for a new Queen if they have not succumbed to the gel yet. So literally the nest is destroyed. This was explained to me by our pest control guy…because I was squashing them one at a time and he said stop, let that little ant take this home to Mama. The product is called….Terro!
