A Simple Act of Kindness
Hello friends, thank you for being here, for being a bloggy friend, and enjoying Katherines Corner, my blog for sharing. I always refer to it as a happy place. I have made no secret of the joy I receive by sharing with you. It will always be a place for sharing, lifting spirits, inspiring creativity, and generosity. I continue to share all I can to bring joy, friendship, and kindness to everyone who visits.
I make no secret that I am a child of God,
although I often ask for prayers for people in need, I rarely share a post completely based on spirituality. But I experienced something that I can only share with you by asking, praying, and even begging you to please read these powerful bible verses.
I pray you will find inspiration for how you can help others simply by wearing a mask when you are away from home. It is a selfless act of kindness that may mean the difference between life and death.
I believe wearing a mask to protect others and should in no way feel like a sacrifice. Instead, it should make you feel proud. Knowing you can literally save lives by this simple selfless act of kindness, thoughtfulness, and community responsibility.
“This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you”. John 15:12
“Honor thy father and mother; and thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself”. Mathew 19:19
“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me”. Mathew 25:40

I know one simple act of selfless kindness cannot save the whole world, but it is a positive way to protect the lives of those you encounter away from home.
When this pandemic is over we will all know we did everything we could to save lives, lend a hand, donate, protect, pray, and care for each other in every way possible.
I have tried to prepare myself for the possibility of comments that dispute the request for an act of selfless kindness by simply wearing a mask. So, please remember, this is a happy place and not a political blog post, or a place to leave cruel comments.
I pray this pandemic will end soon and that you and your loved ones will stay safe and healthy.
