Words to Inspire Action

Hello friends, I hope you have enjoyed a happy and healthy week. It’s time for the weekend and all that brings with it. For me, I have a mountain of laundry that I may need a grappling hook and rope to climb. It was just one of those weeks when my mind was on other things. Until there in the linen closet where stacks of fluffy folded towels usually reside, I found only one lone towel looking back at me as if to say, “I miss my friends”. So, the word Laundry will be one of the words to inspire action for me today.

More random words to inspire action.

Build-
You know that chair, table, (fill in the blank) you purchased from the flea market a couple of years ago? Yes, that one, it’s time to put your vision into action. Grab some sandpaper, paint, and other maker tools that inspire action today.

Listen-
One of my favorite things to listen to is not found in my pile of records, on the radio, or live streaming through Alexa, it can only be found on the phone, on ZOOM, Instant Messaging (my phone is much too antiquated for Face Time) or on occasion, 6-8 feet away in the driveway or on the front porch. What am I listenign to? The joyful voices of those I love who are in their homes safe and sound.

“Hey Grandma, I miss you, I love you” shouted from the background when talking to our daughter. Phone calls or virtual time spent speaking to our grandchildren can fill a quiet space with love and laughter in no time. Listen is the word I use to inspire action daily. May I just take a moment and say how much I HATE COVID 19!

Laugh-
The word laugh can inspire action in so many ways, I hope you find many ways to laugh every day. Maybe a silly movie, playing with a pet or, a tickle fight can get the laughter started. Please find what makes you giggle, laugh snort, and guffaw.

Benevolenace-
This is the word that can inspire action beyond yourself. With its very definition of kindness, caring and compassionate living. Benevolence can inspire action in the smallest and biggest ways. What comes to mind first for you?

  • Checking on a neighbor?
  • Dropping food off at the food bank?
  • Wearing a mask?
  • Taking in your neighbors trash?
  • Shoveling snow far past your driveway and sidewalk?

These are just a few altruistic ways to show you care for others (outside of your loved ones). We all love seeing the stories on the news about random acts of kindness. You know that feeling you get? That warm fuzzy, makes me tingly feeling? It’s waiting for you.

These are just a few of the many words that can inspire action. What words are inspiring action for you? Please share your thoughts in the comment section I love hearing from you.

Enjoy your weekend, I’ll see you back here on Tuesday.

Stay safe and remember, you are loved, and I am grateful for the time you spend with me.

you can still add your blog posts top the TFT party!

    Hello and Happy New Year!

My laundry pile albeit not as high as yours is asking for my attention as well.

Hubby is not feeling too well so I will be playing “nurse maid” today as well.

What a crazy week!!! I am doing laundry too and wrestling the tree in its box again. I decorated my dining room with white, old silver, some bleached conch shells, pink and aqua for the S. FL winter. The roosters returned to the kitchen too. the seasons are turning and we already see a longer day down here. Stay well and safe.

I’ve had weeks like that when other things just get in the way and this week was definitely that for me, too! So, totally understand the laundry pile, LOL! My daily word is intention and so I try to set an intention (or more than one) for every day to keep me focused. I guess those intentions would be my call to action. I will think about your ideas of building, listening, laughter and benevolence as I consider intentions.
