Thoughts on June
Hello friends, it’s June! Okay, I know that you know it’s June, but it’s June! It’s bridal season, and my little one woman online bridal shop, Keepsakes by Katherine is ready to bounce back to life! Last year I was bereft of bridal orders because of the pandemic. Weddings were being postponed or canceled daily. Cake bakers, ring makers, flower arrangers and yours truly scrambled with the hopes to stay open and keep our head above water.
So, I am putting a lot of faith into the next few months (bridal season June-Sept.). I’m praying my little one woman online shop will have a plethora of happy wedding planners, engaged couple, wedding guests and parents of the bride, etc. making their purchases. I’d love it if you would think happy thoughts, even prayers would be nice, that I will be a success. (heart)
I thought you might like to see a few of the wedding trends for 2021.
Physical distancing, smaller weddings and elopements are all in trend right now. Couples are finding that more intimate gatherings and outdoor ceremonies are practical and budget friendly too. You always want your guests to have a good time too.
With the focus on love and a fun experience for all, the smaller ceremonies are lasting into the wee hours and that means fairy lights and plenty of room for dancing.
You’ll see bouquets in both muted and vibrant colors and a a continued trend of mixed dried, real and silk flowers. But no bouquet is complete without a bouquet charm or locket from keepsakes by Katherine, right?
Wedding gowns will have extra pizazz. You’ll see more beads, pearls and dramatic back accents on this years gowns. Spending a little more on an extravagant gown balances the smaller guest list expense.

Lots of prayers your business picks up this year. I think there is a pent up demand for people to gather and celebrate family occasions again. I’ve even heard people who had low key weddings last year who want receptions this year now they can have them. I hope this is reflected in your business soon.
