Valentines Day
It’s valentines day my friends, you are loved!
Tomorrow is Valentines Day in the US and around the world. People will be starting their days with beautiful celebrations of love ♥ Many will begin their day by opening handmade cards and eating a breakfast that may consist of burned toast and runny eggs. Their senses will be awakened by the aroma of glue and macaroni jewelry, lovingly made by little hands. Fragrant flowers from partners will fill the air and the celebration will remind the heart to rejoice in the day.
Valentines Day reminds us to celebrate love. But, many may not be celebrating with a partner. The commercialization of this beautiful celebration of love will find many singles feeling left out and even depressed. I am writing today to remind you that even if you do not have a partner you should still celebrate. Valentines days in my past were not always celebrated with the love of my life ( my hubby). Some I spent celebrating love, gasp…. alone! Yes, I just declared that I celebrated valentines day even when I didn’t have ” a valentine”.
I still celebrated love. Love for friends, love for family, love of life, love, love ,love. I had, and still have, a heart filled with it. ♥ I didn’t join the lonely hearts club. I enjoyed the day. I may have spent some time cutting out paper hearts, watching a romantic movie, I may have even eaten dessert first. My celebration of love was simple, but still wonderful.
If you are alone for Valentines Day, pour yourself a cup of hot cocoa, maybe even add a few ooey gooey marshmallow peep hearts. Pop in your favorite movie and celebrate the day of love. Also remember if ever you should forget…Look up and you will quickly realize that HE is there and You are LOVED ♥
Whether you celebrate alone or with your hearts keeper. Please celebrate the day because you are loved!
Happy Valentines Day from me to you ♥
