Baking Memories with Grandma
This Saturday is our annual Christmas Cookie Day, aka Baking Memories with Grandma day. We make the same cookies every year, which is great no crumb left behind. We will stick with the classics, but we’ll also be adding a new shape and a new recipe. Peppermint Marshmallows, soon to be favorite, to the day too. Below you will find wonderful cookies to bake for your holiday season. Whether you eat them yourself or give them as gifts, cookies are guaranteed to be received with a smile. Peppermint Marshmallows

We’ll start with everybody’s favorite cut outs, yummy Frost and Sprinkle Sugar Cookies.
We’ll be using a heart cookie cutter to make these cute Santa Cookies from Betty Crocker this year

Before we start the chaos decorating everyone gets a baking sheet.
It helps wrangle the sprinkles and limits the search for which cookie is mine too
Christmas Rice Krispie Treat Stars are usually on the list while other cookies are baking
We’ll move onto another favorite frosted Gingerbread cookies and then it’s time for
Grandpa’s favorite Oatmeal Cookies
Another new treat on the list will be Betty Crocker’s Peppermint Swirl Fudge!

Your cookies all look amazing, when I bake I have to plane to quickly give them away, to much temeptation to eat on them all day long. I Pinned the Royal icing illustration for sharing.

I have no self control when it comes to potato chips! I will make myself some sugar free cookies though, always nice to have some to dunk in a cup of tea xo
When you say sugar free do you use an alternative, like xylitol?
Hi sweetie I use sucralose, anything that ends with “itol” is not allowed. I make myself oatmeal cookies or cinnamon cookies for my holiday treats. I use applesauce for some recipes too. xo
We LOVE making memories with grandma!! My son and I visit my Mom all the time and last time they made peanut butter cookies together. Next time we are going to do sugar cookies to decorate!! He cannot wait. I lost my grandma this year, I was lucky enough to have her as a HUGE part of my life and upbringing! I hope that my son gets the same out of his relationship with my mom 😉

I don’t remember my grandmother’s cookies, but my mother always made those little green tree ones. No one does them better.
