Thanksgiving Chocolate-

What am I thankful for? My list is probably a lot like yours. Hubby, Family, extended Family, Friends, Food on our table, Roof over our head, our sweet fur baby, Izzy, Love, Giggles and so many Blessings. I am thankful for every new day given to me by Our Lord and Savior. When I express my gratitude I always include my bloggy friends, blog readers, blog family and Katherines Corner Shop customers. Indulge me if you will,  I look at blog land as if it were a community, a neighborhood of sharing and I live on Katherines Corner. I keep my front gate open for visitors, tea is always ready and cozy is one of my favorite things. You know that favorite pair of jeans, the ones that fit just right, the only pair in a pile of jeans that you miss if they are in the wash. Or that threadbare tee shirt that is as soft as a baby blanket and you’d wear it every day if you could. That’s me! You make me feel like your jeans and t-shirt. Well not me, but it is Katherines Corner and that is an extension of me. I am thankful for being included among your favorite things. My simple Thanksgiving Chocolate pretzels recipe is among your favorite things too. It is my pleasure to re-share one of my most popular treats. My Chocolate Covered Pretzels.

 

What you Need
12 -20 Large pretzel rods
1 10 oz. Packages of dark chocolate and 1 10 oz package of white chocolate candy melts
1 lb Ghirardelli milk chocolate wafers
1 Clean and empty egg carton, turn over with poke holes in the center of each egg cup big enough to hold your pretzel up while drying
Chocolate sprinkles, crushed nuts, etc.
Piping bags (or sandwich bag with the corner cut off)

Lets Make It!
Melt Ghirardelli milk chocolate wafers in a microwave safe container (I just use a large glass measuring cup.) Checking and stirring every 30 seconds
Dunk each pretzel in to coat (leave a bit of room on the end for dipping etc. hot, please be careful) and then put them into the holes in  the egg carton carton while they dry ( don’t refrigerate just let them dry on their own. It only takes a few minutes.)
In 2 bowls melt the white chocolate and dark chocolate according to package directions
Now you can drizzle, pipe, and sprinkle your way into chocolate covered nirvana.

*Katies Tidbits-if the chocolate starts to harden put the whole bowl of chocolate into a bigger bowl of hot water. This is tempering your chocolate it keeps it “liquid”.
