Waiting on Spring
The weather here in Utah is teasing us, the temperatures have moved from 30’s to 50’s and the sun is shining. But…there are storms forecasted and spring isn’t quite ready to say hello. This time of year, mid to late March, I find myself waiting. Waiting on Spring.
The first flowers to say hello are usually the tulips. With Crocus, Hyacinths, and Daffodils racing each other to see who pops their head out next.
The first day of spring “officially” starts today. So, I reached into my photo folders and found a few spring tulips from seasons passed to enjoy until ours are ready for their debut. I think it will make waiting on spring flowers a little easier.
We have a wonderful Tulip Festival here in April. A truly glorious display of spring flowers everywhere.

Waiting on spring here in northern Nevada as well. Rain and snow is our lot today and tomorrow, but hopefully it will warm up soon!

Hi Katherine! We’re still waiting for the weather fluctuations to stop here in the Deep South. Warm one day, cool the next. It’s usually warm by this time of year. The tulip festival looks beautiful and I bet it’s loads of fun. We have a local arts and crafts festival here named after one of our famous local painters. It’s a lot of fun as well. Lots to see and plenty to buy! LOL! I just wanted to say, it’s refreshing to find a 50+ blogger, being I’m over 50 myself. Loved all your spring photos! Have a great day!
First day of spring and it’s in the forties here. And we’re in the south! Not a lot of flowers here at the moment.
The temperatures are hovering around 50 here, as well. Sun is shining, but still has that chill or nip to the air feel. So, anxiously waiting on Spring here, too now. Hugs and Happy First Day of Spring xoxo <3
Beautiful tulips I love them! In Singapore is always summer and honestly I miss spring! Is my favorite season. When everything is coming back to life! Happy Spring!
