Christmas Home Tour 2017
You know those amazing blogs that leave you gobsmacked. Their Christmas home tour looks like it is straight out of an elegant magazine shoot. I love them! This is not one of them…wink. Welcome to my walk around the house Christmas Home Tour for 2017. It was snowing, then it wasn’t, the sun was out and then it wasn’t. That’s right, I just crossed my fingers and took some quick snaps. I kept it minimal again this year. Between creating things for my shops A Zen Spirit and Katherines Corner Shop and Keepsakes by Katherine, writing, sharing, social networking, promoting and the annual season of giveaways I just didn’t have enough hours. My sweet hubby, is such a joy he never fusses about eating late, or soup and sandwich nights this time of year. Izzy followed me around the house occasionally dropping a toy at my feet. Once I was done with the photos we had an extra long playtime.
One thing I can tell you for certain is…. our home reflects the comfort and joy we share throughout the year. With a little something magical at Christmas time.
Let’s start in the dining area. I purchased the tablecloth at Target’s after Christmas sale last year.
A couple of inexpensive carnation bundles from the local Walmart bring some Christmas color to the table too.
Our table very rarely goes without fresh flowers on it. It is an indulgence that I enjoy so much.
Moving into the kitchen now a couple of my favorite Santas watch over the cookie baking and yummy food making.
The kitchen windowsill is one of my favorite places in the kitchen, yes it really is.
We can look out the window at the mountains and the veggie garden and….
I try to always have some pretty decor there too. Anything to help bring a smile while washing dishes.
Our buffet is one of my favorite pieces of furniture. We saved up and had it made several years ago at Bassett furniture.
They also made our dining table and tv room couches.
Izzy was not so patiently waiting for me in the TV room.
I probably should have turned the tv off. But, I was enjoying the sounds of the season Christmas songs.
Now a trip to the front living area, we always refer to it as the Christmas tree room, all year long.
That’s our Christmas home tour. I have also shared a couple of different photos on facebook and instagram recently too.
You can still link up and share at yesterday’s party and don’t forget to enter the Surprise Box giveaway too. I’ll be back tomorrow!
