I have been influenced by so many talented chefs. But, I often feel like a “mad scientist” when I am creating new recipes. My husband told me he fell madly in love with me after I cooked our first dinner together. I served mesquite seasoned steelhead trout, sauteed mushrooms, wild rice, and roasted vegetables. ♥ Thank goodness my hubby is a willing taste tester and always gives his honest opinion. Many of my recipes provide alternatives for migraine safe, dairy free, gluten free, lactose free and sugar free dietary restrictions. Often by exchanging to ingredients your diet will allow. Migraine safe recipes require you to leave out the lemon zest, nuts and other trigger foods. PLEASE- know your allergies and migraine triggers before making my recipes.

Some Simple Substitutions for migraine sufferers – instead of lemon/lime zest /juice use half measurement of distilled white vinegar ( example 1 tsp. lemon juice = 1/2 tsp. distilled white vinegar)
for onion- substitute leeks, spring onion or green onion ( equal measurements)
omit dried fruits
For dairy free and sugar free recipe alterations- use equal measurements of your dairy substitute or sugar substitute unless I indicate using a different amount.
