DIY Autumn Pink
Hello friends, on the blog today, lets make something! Every year I wait for my traditional white baby boo’s to arrive at the local farm. No luck yet. But I did find some very cute pink pumpkins to play with. I know pink is not a color you usually associate with autumn home decorating, but these autumn pink DIY’s may have you changing your mind. You can use these as a bit of home decor or as a centerpiece too.
Whether it’s a little, or a lot, you will find yourself diving in head first to add pink to your autumn home this year. Lets start with this simple DIY. Grab your glue gun! Gather together a pink faux pumpkin, (or a white one you can paint pink) ribbon, lace, assorted sewing scraps, sparkles, etc. And get crafty! Add bits of awesome to your faux pumpkin using hot glue to holed it all in place. The time needed to create this DIY project 20-45 minutes depending on how many elements you want to add. (smile)
Say yes to faux! Start by cutting off the top of a faux pumpkin ( you may need to paint it pink first). Cut off the top, insert floral foam and start adding flowers, berries and/or floral picks. Make sure your floral foam reaches the top of the pumpkin just below the rim. Let your flowers spill over the top of the pumpkin. Time needed to create this DIY project 30-60 minutes.
Have you ever used pink in your autumn decor?
I hope you will get inspired to add a bit of pink to your autumn home decor. (smile)
These are beautiful Katherine! I know you are loving the addition of pink to your autumn decor. This year for autumn, I added some pink too, in my bedroom…. I don’t have a lot of space in there, but a pink velvet pumpkin from dollar tree seemed just right, to set on the bed, amongst all the pillows, lol! I would love to someday make a couple of pumpkins like you did. I sooo love these you made. Thanks for the inspiration. Hope you have a great week friend!
Thank you for your lovely comment. I’m so happy you found some pink to add to your home decor. The pink faux pumpkins can be found at Hobby Lobby. Most of the embellishments can be found in the scrap-booking section. Wishing you a happy pink October. Hugs!
It seems pink is popular with orange this year. I like the combo!
Me too, I like trying a little something different.Hugs!
