Easy Hostess Gifts
Easy Hostess Gifts-
I may be old fashioned, but I think it’s nice to bring a hostess/host gift when you attend holiday gatherings ( or any dinner, party, etc). A gift of gratitude for your hostess’s or host’s hard work is always a received with a smile. You can easily go a step beyond the traditional bottle of wine or fresh flowers with some of these lovely and easy, thank you for hosting, gifts.Of course flowers are nice hostess gifts also, just remember your hostess or host will be busy and it’s nice to bring flowers that are already in a vase. Or bring a vase with you and offer to put the flowers in the vase for your hostess. Please don’t expect to have your flowers displayed on the dining table. Your hostess/host has already prepared a nice table and most likely will have flowers already incorporated in her/his table setting. This holiday season I am sharing some of my favorite and easy hostess gifts.Let’s step outside the traditional box. Many of these ideas can be easily put together by you or purchased ready for gift giving. I prefer to present hostess/host gifts unwrapped . Freeing your hostess/host from feeling obligated to open it immediately when she/he has many things to do. Add a nice ribbon, a note card, etc. though.
Tea towel and cookie cutter- I bought this wonderful high quality tea towel from a local shop and the cookie cutter is from Walmart. This is one of my favorite host/hostess gifts.
Personalized gifts-tea towels/kitchen/towels/bar towels- personalized with your hostess/host name. I found these sweet tea towels at Red Envelope
Spa Gift- A basket filled with spa supplies your hostess/host can use to relax after a night of hosting. If your budget allows a gift card to a local spa is always a nice touch too. I found this gift basket at Selona Beauty
Coasters- A unique set of coasters like these lovely olive wood coasters from West Elm are a useful and artistic gift
A bottle of wine, or sparkling fruit juice- in a unique bag. I love these ugly sweater wine bottle covers from World Market, these are sure to get a smile!
I found this wonderful diy for a hot cocoa gift on the blog Sugar and Cloth it’s perfect for the holidays too.
I didn’t receive any compensation for any of these recommendations. I just had the ideas and then sought them out online. Images belong to their respective blog/website.
What do you give as hostess gifts? Did any of these suggestions spark inspiration for you? What is one of your favorite hostess gifts to receive?

What great ideas!
What a small world, I just went to a party here in my neighborhood and I brought them a gift of different pretty soaps from this cute little store! The soaps smelled great.

I don’t think you are old fashioned, Katherine. I think bringing a gift is lovely! The bottle of wine is usually a safe bet, but I love these cute ideas. One year I received an ornament with the name of our town, and I “relive” that party every year because of that gift. Wonderful to see some options:)
How cute are those ugly sweaters!

These are all good tips. I really like the wood coasters, those are cool looking because they’re so unique!
