Patio Furniture Makeover-
I have been meaning to share this patio furniture makeover for quite some time now. I just want to brag about my sweet hubby. He wire brushed all of the rust off of our twelve year old patio furniture and painstakingly repainted and sealed every chair ( all seven of them) and the table too. He called one day and said ” Lowes has green striped overstuffed chair cushions”. I said , “yes please”. He remembered I was hoping for some blue or green striped over stuffed cushions. I had been looking for them for two summers. 🙂
We enjoy our backyard, the garden and the privacy our fence provides. It’s so nice to sit outside ( when it’s not to hot ) and enjoy a cold drink or some yummy watermelon.
As some of you are already aware and it is painfully obvious, I am NOT a tablescaper, giggle. But this setting is just right for the two of us.
Izzy of course was supervising it all. Here he is enjoying a bit of sunshine 🙂
I think this furniture may even last us another twelve years. What do you think..here’s the big Taa Dah moment.

I don’t think we can transform our furniture, a new set is in order. Your set is very pretty and you did a beautiful job styling your table. Oh, and no salt on my watermelon!

Unfortunately, we have to add a deck onto the house before I get a patio. Love your new cushions and your husband did a great job with repainting and sealing. BTW, I love your bowls! I love bowls that have the smaller bottoms so you can cup them easier when you just want to eat ice cream on the couch.

I do not put salt on my watermelon, but my mom does.

Love your porch makeover and the color and design is terrific!….I thought I was the only one who put salt on watermelon..my dad always did that…We actually salted all melons..Have a great weekend.

Great transformation from frumpy to chic! Love the yard. My 85 year old mom swears by salting watermelon and cantaloupe while I can’t bear to eat them salted. To each her own:)

Oh, yes.…my last week’s post tells the story! Aren’t husbands great? I love salt (and sometimes pepper) on my watermelon!!!! But always salt! Pretty furniture! Love the green…so fresh and inviting.

I just spray painted (lime green, of course) my plastic set. Much quicker than what your husband did … but yours are lovely.

Katherine, the set is beautiful and the cushions are gorgeous! We have had our table and chairs for many years also and I have painted them quite a few times. 🙂 As a matter of fact, I plan to do it again as soon as my husband finish building the new deck for our eating area.
