Making the Bed with Serena and Lily
Making the Bed with Serena and Lily-
Something occurred to me the other day when I was making the bed, I rarely make our bed on the weekend. Do you make your bed every day? Did you know that we spend on average, eight hours a day sleeping? I am not average I sleep 6-7 hours a night. If you are fortunate enough to live to be 75 years old, that’s 25 years spent sleeping! So you really should have the most comfortable sleep possible, right. There are a few things in life that I think deserve to be the best. Whether you save up or splurge, you will feel it is money well spent if you purchase quality bed linens (sheets, pillows, blankets, etc.) towels and undies ( I’ll save the towels and undies for another post, wink). When we are transitioning from winter to spring most of us change our bedding. We are no longer in need of those overstuffed duvets or heavy comforters. I find a well-made quilt or blanket is just enough to keep the nights chill off when we leave the window open.
It is my pleasure to introduce you to Serena and Lily and their Westwood quilt. The Westwood quilt can be used as an extra layer or just as it is on its own. You can read my full review of this luxury quilt HERE.
I thought it would be fun to create a few bed making styles. Its good to try new things.I made the bed using what we already have, nothing new except the quilt.
But first, I will show you how our bed looks 95% of the time.
My side of the bed, has plenty of my necessities, I only noted a few on the photo.
Hubby’s side has all of his nightly necessities too.
Using the Westwood quilt as a bedspread I call this one the Angel Bed.
I hope to have these tapestry throws available in the shop Autumn 2017.
Layers are perfect for our crazy Utah weather. You will notice this is the style I prefer for our bed.
Simple style, tidy with two layers.
Mix and match, Izzy is cozy on the Westwood quilt.
I tucked the sides behind the wood frame for this one. I don’t think I like it tucked in. Do you?
Girls dorm room simple with a little bit of ruffle.
Minimalist
What style bed do you make?

I love the way a well-made bed looks, however I hardly ever make my bed.
I don’t make my bed unless I have guests in the house or expecting visitors! It’s such a waste of time!
Aw, your bed looks so pretty with this cover. I will say I am so not a fan of making the bed, but do try at least during the week here. So, can agree with you on that. Now wishing you a restful weekend ahead, Katie xoxo <3
