Memorial Day Monday Inspirations
It’s Memorial Day here in the US, Happy Memorial Day! As I looked back through my previous Memorial Day posts I realized I have shared five Memorial Days with you here at Katherines Corner and before that one at my old site, Go Ask Katie. I have written three Memorial Day Prayers and last year celebrated the opening of my Katherines Corner Shop with a Memorial Day Weekend Sale Event. One thing stays steadfast in my Memorial Day messages. Be grateful for those who have lost their lives so that ours would be protected. Respect all that still serve, and honor the fallen and their families. Carry their sacrifice with you today knowing our military serves to protect all of us. It does not discriminate; it holds dear our US Constitution and every Precious Soul.
Each military person must swear in their oath of allegiance. This is a small excerpt from their swearing in; “ to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign or domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservations or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office upon which I am about to enter; So help me God.” If you have a US flag, please remember to display the flag at half-staff it must be displayed before noon.
This week’s Monday inspiration theme is perfect for a barbecue or celebrating the unofficial start of summer, Something Fruity.
Not familiar with Monday inspirations? No problem here’s the scoop. Monday inspirations has taken the place of Make It Monday. Still inspiring us in a zillion ways but with one very fun twist. I will select a theme, but when you share your posts you won’t know what theme I have selected. Aha a little mystery! Then I will share some of your wonderful posts. I will still be featuring a few other selected posts at the Thursday Favorite Things blog hop too. Just a reminder that all of the photos belong to their respective blogs unless otherwise indicated. Please pin from the source to assure bloggers are getting the credit they deserve. Each individual blog image is clickable. If you missed a Monday Inspiration or Make It Monday you can find them all HERE.
