Saturday Sharing 8
Hello friends, happy weekend wishes. I know it’s Saturday Sharing. But, today I’m sharing some random thoughts first. The truth is Saturday Sharing is like life, sometimes…it’s all over the place. Someone told me a long time ago ( way back in the days of yore) that I think too much. I can’t imagine what on earth this type A personality would do if I didn’t.
I avoid chaos wherever and whenever I can. But when I look at the unbelievable disaster my art room is in I can’t help thinking, where are the little fairies to come and tidy up for me like the elves and the shoe cobbler? Yes, this is one of the many things I think about. Of course, I can’t over think family matters and I don’t think you can over-pray on anything especially things that affect family and friends. That is separate from this particular bit of random rambling.I think about how on earth to compartmentalize things in the world that make me totally gobsmacked. That is also separate from this post.
You no doubt know me enough well by now and you know I am a list maker. I jot down random things that pop into my head all of the time, blog topic, designs, home to-do’s and more. That’s just me, I make notes and I think. One might even say, I ponder. That’s right, I ponder darn it, and I always have plenty to ponder over. Hmmm… now, I may be accused of over pondering ( wink). Ummm TMI alert:- I think, a lot when I am in the loo ( bathroom). I know many have things to read in there for times when you need a few extra minutes. I have a notepad and pen. I write down random things, sketch and make lists and notes, yes even in there! Do you?
I think and think, search and research how on earth to get my shop seen by more people. I want to work 8 am-3pm, not 5 am to 10 pm. I have some really nice things for sale. Why aren’t people finding me? I have spent a ridiculous amount of money promoting my shops. If you have any suggestions please share. There’s always the Six Degrees of Separation theory. “You tell someone about my shop, they tell someone, etc. until it reaches someone from Real Simple Weddings, the Knot or the holy grail, Martha Stewart Weddings.”
I think about being overextended and how no matter what I do to clear things away new things take their place.
I think about how much I love my hubby and how I wish he would take more days off to spend time doing the things he enjoys, like fishing! My hubby loves to fish. Softwater or hard water it is one of his happy places.
Lastly, in the do what I say not what I do department: I often tell bloggers, ” go out, live your life, make happy memories and then blog and share with us later”. I’m working towards this goal. How do you keep from over thinking everything? Do you over ponder, are you able to compartmentalize, home, work, etc? Please tell me your thoughts on this bit of rambling.
Okay, let’s get to the amazing Saturday Sharing things!
The new Ruby for Women magazine is out! You can read it here or even better become a subscriber to the print version.
The savvy shopper’s facebook group has closed and I have invited the group and I invite all of you to join my shop facebook page HERE and watch for discounts, page follower-only deals, freebies and more. Just a reminder that my shops are filled with beautiful things for your home and style too. Not just for weddings.
I’m planning a new giveaway and hope to have that ready for you in the next few days.
Now for a touch of irony…I broke up with Instagram ( click HERE to read )and ever since that announcement I have new followers. Go figure, or in my case go ponder on that one. So I do add a few photos here and there. We are not completely “broken up”, wink.
You can still share your blog at the TFT blog party until midnight tonight. Please click HERE
I’m trying to catch up on comments and pinning this weekend so don’t be surprised if I reply to a comment you may have left a little while ago. Lastly, Katherines Corner is my happy place and I am over the moon grateful to have you as bloggy friends and subscribers. Have a great weekend everyone and thank you for reading my Saturday Sharing post. I’ll see you here on Monday, God willing!
I can over think everything. I keep a note pad or two beside my computer but the sad thing is I am always jotting down stuff but I never keep stuff organized so when I need ideas I can’t find my pads.
Aha a peas in a pod ( wink) hugs!
Aw, thanks for sharing and hoping you have been enjoying your Saturday, too so far xoxo <3
We had a lovely weekend my friend, hoping you did too. Wishing you a day as sweet as you are xo
I have not formally broken up with IG, but I have cut way back. I found it was literally affecting my happiness and health. I would worry about not posting, losing followers, how to gain followers, etc. I am now only on a couple of times a week for some tags I host, and I do have some friends I keep in touch with there. I will keep my account to promote special blog hops and things, but I have felt much freer since letting go of my unhealthy obsession. I have devoted more time to blog land and I love it here.
Heading over now to check out your fb shop page. Have a great weekend!
Hi Amber,
I’m right there with you my friend. xo
P.S. thank you for joining the shop page.
