Happy Fathers Day 2018 to all of the wonderful people who are or who represent our Fathers! My hubby is an awesome Dad, Grandpa (and Papa ( to our fur baby Izzy). This year we’ll be barbecuing ribs ( you can find my recipe HERE), we always make whatever he wants for dinner. Weather permitting, he’ll get a bit of fishing in too. In addition, I give him total control of the television remote, once a year, wink.
I found this lovely poem by Brie Carter, I thought you might like to have a free printable. Enjoy and I hope you will all be making happy memories today.

What Makes a Dad?
God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle’s flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so, He called it … Dad

I visited with 2 of my out of town adult kids and 2 grandkids in Boston last week. The one year old stuffs his mouth with food and sometimes carries toys in his mouth while crawling. My 6 year old grandson showed him toys and read a book. We all enjoyed Boston’s Children’s Museum and a berry farm with smoothies, petting animals, swings and a sand pit.
