  1. Katherine, I love this post! I can totally relate to everything you wrote. I remember when I was kid, every school year the teachers would ask that question, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” And all throughout my childhood, my answer involved writing. I went from poet to journalist to author to editor and pretty much any other writing type of career you could think of. And here I am now, also a published writer on my blog and on other platforms as well. I have never written a book either (I would love to but it still overwhelms me enough to freeze me at the starting line), but I am still a writer. Stephen King once said, “If you wrote something for which someone sent you a check, if you cashed the check and it didn’t bounce, and if you then paid the light bill with the money, I consider you talented.” Those are words I live by ever since I received my first amount of money for writing something! And if Stephen King says I’m a talented writer, then who the heck am I to argue?! Hahaha I look forward to your new series! That is write up my alley! (See what I did there? I also love a good pun!)

  2. Absolutely, you are a writer! I wanted to be a writer when I was young, too. I wanted to be so many things, which was part of my problem. I couldn’t decide! I wanted to be an art teacher too. So, I guess, in some ways, I am being both a writer and an art teacher with my blog. I wanted to work with children, and I’ve gotten to do that as a reading tutor. I’m excited for your series! xo

Love each other as God loves you xo
