Why Do We Celebrate Good Friday
Hello friends, happy wishes to you on this Good Friday. Good Friday is a day of remembrance for Christians, it is a part of the Holy week which begins on March 29th and ends on Easter Sunday. Easter is celebrated on April 4th this year. Why do we celebrate Good Friday?
Good Friday represents the crucifixion of Jesus and his death at Calvary. Some may be asking, “But, why is it good Friday if Jesus was crucified, how can that be good? Why do we celebrate”. We celebrate His love. Yes, Jesus died on the cross, by taking on the physicality and sins of humanity. He endured great suffering for each of us. He died for our salvation, for our freedom, and for our redemption of sin. To give us hope and faith for the future, and that is good.
1 Peter 2:24 He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.
Enjoy your day in the comfort of knowing you are loved. xo
