Pondering
Dear friends, a recent question had me pondering. I love a good ponder (smile). ” she said I want to start blogging, what should I blog about?” My response, ” Use your blog as a testament to all the things you enjoy doing. Consider writing your blog with complete abandon, holding nothing back, let the words and images flow like a river. Focus on something you truly enjoy doing. And, most importantly consider the delete button as your sword to slay the trolls who find their way into your safe space.”
I’ve sometimes felt like I was trapped in a “blog bubble” constantly trying to come up with new worth reading content and new recipes can be hard. I have shared so many things throughout my blog’s evolution. I have reached a time now where I think it needs to lean a bit more towards personal reflections and spiritual inspiration. I will still share the occasional DIY / craftiness too. And if you’re wondering, yes I will still have TFT, (guests bloggers and giveaways on occasion.)
I love the advice you provided because blogging is such a fluid and dynamic space. I remember when I started blogging in 2010, it was about being a single Christian woman and how that was shaping my life at the time. Since then, I stopped blogging a few times, to then start again but with different topics. But above all, for me is about perspective and being genuine to what you like. Again, I love the advice you provided because it covers what blogging is all about.
