I have a simple and beautiful solution for your front porch in the fall using unusual planter pots for fall porch decorating. Chrysanthemums can fill a variety of styles and sizes of containers and pots .Arrange them on steps, along your porch and on varying levels using bricks or decorative wood. You’ll be pleased with the result. Mums stay brightly colored for quite a while in cooler weather too. I even put some in an old pair of boots on our front steps.

You can also hollow out pumpkins and place your mums (keep them in their original pots) into them. Pumpkins will make a very original looking planter pot but will only stay fresh for a few weeks.
