Industrial Design Home Decor
Industrial Design Home Decor-
What do you think of when you hear the words Industrial Design? Empty spaces, loft living, open beams, maybe concrete. There are other elements of Industrial design that do not feel cold and utilitarian. You can add bits of Industrial design in your home decor without making a full commitment.
As a Graham and Brown Ambassador I have been enjoying sharing some of the lovely designs and ideas that can beautifully transform a space in your home. I am joining 49 other bloggers worldwide who will accept a monthly challenge in the ‘Year in Design 2015″.The Challenge for this month is making a cozy home with Industrial Design.
This wonderful wire clock from Grandin Road ( they have lovely things) would be a great start.
Graham & Brown’s Salizzada Smoke by Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen provides a bit of industrial style with their warm grey textured wallpaper.
I love up cycling and new uses for old things. Skeleton keys would be a creative touch of industrial design. you can place them in bowl, add them to your home key rack, leave on a raw wood end table, Use the keys as hooks for holding coats and bags.
I found this wonderful industrial inspired light at Moonshine Lamp on etsy.
Would you consider a table setting with Industrial design?
A table made of an old barn door and place settings with warm grey napkins.
Add some string or twine and this rustic table setting creates a industrial feel.
Adding little dry flower bundles to soften and create a welcome setting.
