Did you know- that in 1981 a march down Pennsylvania Avenue gathered those of all races together and they publicly campaigned for Martin Luther King Jr’s birthday to be made a national holiday?
Did You Know-President Ronald Reagan signed the legislation to approve the federal holiday For
Did you know- it wasn’t until 2000 that all states had put it into place.
Please join me in celebrating Mr. Martin Luther King, Jr’s birthday and all that he worked so hard to achieve.
After so much negative devisiveness in the news and everywhere you look, it has been lovely to listen to tributes to a flawed, but eloquent man. Messages we need to embrace and adhere to now, when our nation, no the world needs it. Thanks for the additional reminder!
