Thanksgiving Gold Tablescape and Tablescape Blog Hop
Hello friends, surprise I’m posting on a Wednesday! You all know I fly pretty fast and loose with my blog schedule right ( wink)? Once again I find myself in the company of talented tablescaper’s throughout blog land. The lovely Chloe from Celebrate and Decorate has gathered us all together to celebrate one of my favorite holidays, Thanksgiving. You know all Thanksgiving food and leftovers are all “calorie free” right? I know you will enjoy the Thanksgiving Tablescape Blog Hop.
If you just arrived from Bluesky at Home thank you for clicking over to continue the tablescape tour.
It’s always a pleasure to create a space that welcomes good food and conversation. That celebrates the season and brings family and friends together to express gratitude for all of our blessings, big and small.
I started with a curtain scarf from our bedroom as a tablecloth. I wanted to be able to gather it together at one end. I used a piece of fishing line to hide how it is pulled together. I’ve seen this done with large bows and the tablecloth pools onto the floor. I’ve always liked it.
The table runner is actually one of my favorite scarves. I love the boho fringe and the wrinkles and folds make it look even better. You know me well enough to know, I am all about new uses for old things.
I waited for the sun to go down to take some photos, I love dining by candlelight. These battery-operated votives came from the dollar store!
The “sprinkling “of gold painted acorns and decorative amber and gold glass stay true to my “tablescape signature” of spilling onto the table. Not to be confused with actually spilling something, giggle.
My sweet hubby stopped by the local farm on his way home a couple of weeks ago and bought me a bunch of baby boos and little pumpkins. They are perfect for the table. He was so excited to give them to me, he knew how hard it was to find them last year. I sure do love that man of mine.
I wish I could remember where I found these gold leaf accent dishes. I put them out every year.
The centerpiece was created using scraps from previous arrangements, Thanksgiving picks from the local craft store and my favorite crackle paint urn. I’ll tell you a secret…shhh…it leaks when you fill it with water. So this is a dry flower vessel only. It is one of my favorites though. The knobbly almost rope style handles give it such a unique look.
The gold chargers are from the local craft store ( 1.99 each). The polished gold napkin rings are from Bed Bath and Beyond. I love that store!
It is a pleasure to share my Thanksgiving Gold Tablescape and the blog hop with you.
Okay let’s play a quick game, without looking back through the photos, can you tell me what was missing?
Answer: Flatware. I seldom use flatware in my tablescapes.
I hope you enjoyed my Thanksgiving Gold Tablescape.
Please continue on the tour by clicking over to The Painted Apron and I invite you to come back on Friday and take the whole tour. You won’t be disappointed and you may find some fun ideas for your Thanksgiving table.

I absolutely love what you did here, so elegant and yet not costly!
@tisonlyme143
thank you so much. I enjoy creating with things I already have or something inexpensive that I can make look expensive ( smile). Hugs!
I love what you did with your tablecloth. I have seen that done too and it is always so pretty and dramatic. All of your gold blends together well with the season as a nod to those gorgeous leaves we all enjoy so much at Harvest season. It is always a pleasure to be a part of this hop with talented ladies like yourself. Happy Thanksgiving!
Katherine, lovely Thanksgiving table. Love all the gold accents in the beads and pumpkins. The way you used the runner is wonderful. Have a Happy Thanksgiving.
Katherine your centerpiece colors steal the show for me. What a beautiful golden-hued table, My favorite colors. And I especially like the way you draped your fabric. So pretty and such a good idea.
So clever to repurpose a curtain scarf as a tablecloth and topped with another scarf as a table runner! I love your use of the acorns and glass marbles mixed with your pumpkins and sprinkled down the length of the table. As always it’s a treat to blog hop with you! Happy Thanksgiving!
l love the colors you used. They look great with the gold. I also love the idea for your table cloth and runner! So inspiring! Happy Thanksgiving!
Love the tablescape! laura
Thank you so much my friend xox
Blog hopping with you is always a pleasure and thanks for sharing this lovely table. You scored major cool points for using what you have on hand to create this table. It’s a pleasure to blog hop with you and I’m excited to see what you create for Christmas.
Thank you Sandra, I never thought I would be included in such a lovely group of tablescapers. It’s so much fun my friend. HUGS!
Katherine, what a lovely table. The beautiful throw is so creative down the center of your table and a base for your centerpiece. The sparkly gold pumpkin, glass beads and pinecone are reminiscent of the beautiful golden fall leaves outside my daughter’s town home! Thanks for joining in another hop!
Chloe thank you my friend, for your lovely comment and for including me in your wonderful tablescape hops. I know it takes work and time to get it all organized, thank you for taking the time to make it ll so special. xox
Your place settings are beautiful, simple and elegant. Your have proved that you don’t need to send big bucks to set a pretty table, I love the simple gold chargers with your beautiful plates, crisp white napkin adored with the simple gold ring, very pretty. I am guessing no dtrinkware since you have already covered the flatware. I probably would not have noticed if you hadn’t said anything, I was too busy looking at all of your other gold accents! Always a pleasure to hop with you. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!
Thank you so much for your lovely comment Ann, yes on the nose I forgot the g;lasses, LOL.Happy Thanksgiving! hugs
Katherine, your color palette is so lovely. I love your use of the scarf. Fishing line is so handy, isn’t it? Blessings, Cecilia @My Thrift Store Addiction
Thank you so much Cecilia, many blessings to you too. Hugs
It’s so pretty!
thank you Cynthia 🙂
Katherine your creative use of the beautiful scarf is wonderful! I also love how you gathered your tablecloth. Great tip to use the fishing line. All of the treasures spilling across the table and the autumn sunlight and flickering candlelight is lovely.
So happy to hop with you!
I hope you have a beautiful and blessed and very happy Thanksgiving!
Thank you Amber, I wish all the same for you my friend. xo
Katherine, you set a table without flatware or glasses because you didn’t want them to accumulate dust I’m guessing? I often only use linens and a centerpiece until the big event for that reason. Love the table runner choice!
Thank you for your support Debbee! Big Hugs!
Battery powered candles are the best! We have a set that also comes with a remote control.
they glow just as beautifully as a “regular” candle and last much longer. Hugs!
Katherine, I am so happy to see that you make use of your pretty scarves in your tablescapes. They definitely make up some of the prettiest table runners and you save the expense of either having to buy a whole new tablecloth or having to sew your own runner. Most often they are less expensive than an already made runner and are plentiful at thrift stores in beautiful selections. I love repurposing items and when they work so well like in your tablescape, it is so gratifying too. It is so elegant with your white and gold plate stack and napkins. Happy Thanksgiving and many blessings.
Thank you Marsha, I love new uses for old things. I know it is hard to find time to sit and sew anything these days.Happy Thanksgiving to you too. Hugs
Hi Katherine, love the scarf as a runner. Adding touches of gold is so elegant. The Thankful pumpkin is so pretty. The candlelight is perfect. Love the dollar store for it’s chargers, florals and so much more. Enjoy a bountiful Thanksgiving.
Thank you Linda, happy Thanksgiving to you too. Hugs
What a pretty table with all the touches of gold. I love those gold leaf accent dishes and the “thankful” pumpkin. Perfect for Thanksgiving! Great hopping with you this week!
Shelley
Thank you so much,it’s a pleasure hopping with you too. Hugs
I would say maybe the cutlery?
However, beautiful table
Ribana, thank you, I don’t always put cutlery out for the tablescapes, but I forgot the stemware, LOL.
Katherine, a lovely table! What I love most about it is your centerpiece display, and the loving gesture your husband contributed in finding you the baby boos and small pumpkins. How sweet is that? You consistently find new ways for old things and as an antiques dealer, I especially find that rewarding. We always hope customers will think out of the box when they see old things. Happy November!
Thank you Rita, I love that man of mine. Happy November to you, hugs!
Good morning Katie! I love that you repurposed a curtain that you gathered and then let it flow down to the floor, I need to try that. Your scarf is perfect as a table runner. Your use of gold for the tabletop gives it a feeling of understated elegance. Your hubby sounds like mine, how sweet to stop and bring you pumpkins. It is always a pleasure to dine at one of your tables. Wishing you and yours a most blessed Thanksgiving season!
Pam, thank you, your kind comments always make me smile. God Bless and big Hugs!
So bright, warm, and pretty Katherine! I love the scarf runner and the way you gathered and tied the tablecloth at each end. The gold accents and the scatter down the center add a note of elegance and celebration, and hint that this is a special occasion! Wishing you a blessed and happy Thanksgiving!
Jenna
