Hello friends, yesterday’s post Family Secrets Part one, was either not seen or everyone is good with it ( smile). Thank you to those sweet bloggy friends who left comments yesterday. So today it’s my turn, Family Secrets part two! If you missed yesterday’s post please click HERE.
I think I was about 10 years old when I had my first premonition. I woke from a nightmare, my mother rushed to my bedside and as my mother held me in her arms I whispered to her that Mrs. Borgue died. My mother expressed her sorrow, she laid next to me in bed until I fell asleep.
The next morning at school, I sat quietly in Mrs. Borgue’s class while my classmates chatted, joked, and played. The bell rang and everyone quickly sat at their desks and the room went silent. We all sat facing the front of the classroom, where the school principal stood in front of the chalkboard. His posture was rounded and his hands were clasped tightly as he announced that Mrs. Borgue had passed away. Killed in a car accident on her way to school that morning.
When I came home my mother was standing in the kitchen looking out the window. I caught her daydreaming and startled her with a hug. She held me tight and asked about my day. I sobbed, I loved Mrs. Borgue, I will miss her.
We made tea and my mother told me about our family secret. All about the women in our family and how we had received these blessings/gifts from God. I think she was happy in a way to be able to let me in on the family secret. But I know she wasn’t happy about how it came about.
It all fell into place at that moment . I realized all the little stops we often made at strangers homes where my mother would stand for a moment in a door way and speak to people and often hug them. I remember some crying and others smiling as my mother walked away.
For over 40 years people have asked me to be more open about my gifts and how I should share the family secret. Now is the time, I will call it my second act ( since I’m now officially 60). I’ll share more stories with you over time.
The terms, psychic, intuitive, clairvoyant, empath, old soul, and even angel messenger have been used to describe my abilities over the years. It was hard sometimes to say no when people would ask me to be more open about it. Like my mother, I preferred to let the people know if I had a message for them, and then just go about my day.
I do not have the ability to trance-channel (allow the spirit of a deceased person to speak using my voice). I am intuitive, I have premonitions, I speak with angels, I receive angel messages. I do not pray to angels, I pray to God.
Recently I had a dream a woman came out of nowhere and pushed a woman towards a moving subway train. We saw on the news the other night that this happened. But, the woman did not fall. This is still unexplained as she should have fallen. But, we know, her guardian angels were watching over her they kept her feet steadfast and strong.
For those who are wondering why I haven’t won the lottery or been healed of all my maladies. Well, these gifts come with a little reminder of their blessings. None of us ( the women in my family) can or have foreseen anything for ourselves or our immediate family. God would not bless us with such beautiful gifts to use them selfishly.

I have many friends and relatives who believe in premonitions. I have a cousin who gets them quite frequently. Your second post reads like a story. Love it! Hello my friend, thank you. I’m finding out through these posts that many of my readers are very accepting and maybe even a little excited too. Thank you for your sweet compliments, LOL that’s my Covid Hair! I never really thought much about my voice, except when hubby says, ” did you talk to your Mum today” I’ll say yes, he’ll say “yep I knew it you’ve gonefull British”. It seems I hang on to the accent a bit after we’ve spoken. Love K

Oh, sweet friend! I don’t know why someone would stop reading your blog because of you revealing the gift God has given to you. I loved reading about your gifts and your mother’s and grandmother’s gifts. I wonder about things like this because my sweet Mom had some sort of gift like this that was never really acknowledged or validated the way it should have been. She was an extremely Godly woman and spent much time in prayer. I think her gift was more of a prophetic gift to where He would reveal things to her and she would know that things were going to happen. God often spoke to her through dreams, like shortly before her first husband got killed in a car wreck. She knew it was coming beause God gave her a dream. There were many other instances, too, and now I wish I had asked her more about them and written them down. Like you said, people tend to think you’re crazy when you are blessed with such a gift, and it is not talked about for fear of being misunderstood. I was amazed at your dream about your beloved teacher. I can’t wait to hear more about your gift and hope you will never stop telling about what God has done in your life and through you. He has given me revelations and dreams, also, like my dear Mom, and I want to stay completely open to God’s voice and all He wants to reveal to me and show me. He is a faithful God. Cheryl, you may want to consider keeping a journal by your bed. Premonitions are often revealed when we are at our deepest state of sleep-REM). God sends us messages in so many wonderful ways.
