Sowing Seeds Sunday 1
Hello friends, today I begin a new series, Sowing Seeds Sunday. I pray it will be well received and that you will find these little inspirations worthy of your time. Robert Louis Stevenson said, “Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant.” This is something that most of us learn at a young age and it is a concept that I live by.
Most of us sprinkle seeds regularly without even realizing it. The simple act of holding a door open at the post office for someone carrying an arm full of packages is an act of selfless kindness and a seed planted. But what if you asked to carry a few of the boxes as well, and you stood in line at the post office and invited conversation while carrying the boxes. And by doing so you learned that the boxes were filled with handmade quilts going to refugees in Ukraine?
What if you tended the seed just a bit more by asking for information to contribute quilts. Then you asked friends, neighbors and your church members to all contribute quilts. Then you all carried the boxes to the post office. That seed was planted and tended to and the fruit of the seed was a beautiful discovery of kindness.
Never stop sowing seeds.
I hope this inspiration brought you joy and that you will think of it and how it pertains to your life and the seeds you sow. Wishing you a beautiful Sunday 😊
