Sunday Blessings 4
Hello friends, thank you for letting me know that you are enjoying the Sunday Blessings blog series. Please leave comments so I know you are seeing it. No doubt today’s Sunday blessing verse will be a familiar one for most. From the book of Luke 12:48 (NIV) “To whom much is given, much will be required” This verse has been expressed in so many ways. Spiderman anyone?
But what does this verse really mean?
If you have been blessed with talents, wealth, knowledge, time, or something else, it is expected that you will ask God for wisdom on how to use those resources and commit yourself to glorifying God and benefiting others.
1 Peter 4:10 “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms”. So you don’t have to be a millionaire, rock star or the worlds greatest anything. Just use the gifts God has given you to benefit others in ways you would like to receive as well. Kindness, volunteering, etc. Example: If you are a skilled chess player, volunteer at your local senior center and share a game with those who like to be challenged.
Luke 12:42–44.”We have been entrusted with certain things, and faithfulness requires that we manage those things wisely and unselfishly.”
