Sunday Blessings 8
Hello friends, on the blog today, this week’s Sunday Blessings verse is Romans 8:28 (NIV) “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” The Apostle Paul wrote the book of Romans to tell us that no matter what the circumstances, there are two things God works for.
Romans 5:28 what does it mean?
#1 He works for “the good of those who love Him.” If you are faithful and you love God, you can believe that He is working for your good and He loves you too.
#2 He works for “those who are called according to His purpose.” What this means is by following God we are surrendering to His purpose for us. He knows your life’s purpose, even if what is happening is dreadful, hard, and brings grief. All things are meaningful for those who believe in and trust God. He will bring good things. You must believe that God’s plan is a perfect one, and it is where all things will work together for His glory, and for the good of all who wait to be with Him.
When Paul wrote this verse, he was describing the life of Christians who wanted to leave behind the suffering of their lives and be with God. They wanted to die so their bodies would be resurrected and they could share in God’s glory. They did not want to be patient and continue on according to his purpose.
I believe the message of Romans 8:28 is a reminder of God’s promise to the faithful that love and believe in Him, that they will have everlasting life. When life ends here, it continues with Him in heaven.
